About 360 Light International
360 Light International was established in 2017 and registered in Washington State, the USA, in 2021. While visiting his village in Kenya, Kimani Kihuga met five young children who spent their days on the streets while their mother worked during the day. After a sleepless night, he woke up wanting to help this family. At the time, the only option was to take the kids to an orphanage. The closest orphanage had one adult supporting 40 kids, and Kimani worried that the family foundation of love and care would be hard to meet. Wanting to find an alternative, he met with the family and worked to improve their living conditions and support the kid's schooling. Soon, it became clear that the young children's minds, bodies, and spiritual needs were not being met.
What started as helping one family has turned into providing quality services to children in underserved communities. The organization's vision is to provide for the whole child by supplying what is needed to cultivate mind, body, and spirit.
Our Goals
Our goal is to expand the services while still retaining their high quality. We want to expand our support around the cultivation of mind by offering preschool and kindergarten options to more children and finding ways to support children in first grade and up. For the cultivating body, expand medical services in the children's clinic, continue to provide accessible clean water, and expand the feeding program. In cultivating spirit and keeping it culturally based, there is a need for musical instruments and art supplies.
